Never said they weren't. Their core RPG's (imo) are the same unmbitious stuff we've see for decades. If you're happy with that, great. I'm not. Why spend so much? To make something remarkable. Something that will make people fall in love with it instead of satisfying the same customers. Pokemon could finally look great, the pokeomon could finally move and hit each other like in the anime. But that costs money and time and they have no reason to spend either when they are already so successful. Great for them, not enough for me. |
Your not a pokemon fan? What pokemon games you played?

Pokemon Blue, Pokemon red, a bit, Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Silver and a bit of Gold. Emerald at some point I think. Then Pokemon Y which I never beat (I did buy a 3ds for it, though) because it didn't feel different enough from Pokemon Blue. Most recently Pokemon Go since it came out. The only thing that could bring me back is an ambitious one like Ni no kuni with great story and a beautiful world to explore.

Oh don't count on that, Nintendo likes to keep the money in its bank account so Nintendo fans can make topics bragging about how much money Nintendo has in the bank. |
LOL!

If you live on the Internet (like us Millennials do) and listened to the vitriol, you'd expect that number to be much, much, much lower. |
It's become a joke at this rate, haha. If you read the comments of PoGo videos, there's at least a handful of "People still play this?" comments made

epic revenue! I played Pokemon Go a bunch the first two months it was out last year, when there were just throngs of players everywhere, just swarming all over the trails and park near my house. Doubt we'll ever see anything like that again. Surprised it is still making this much money. I actually was sitting next to two girls playing it at the dog park this morning and I chuckled to myself, thinking how long it had been since I had seen anyone playing it - personally I uninstalled it back in december I think because I had only been turning it on like once every couple of weeks for a few months. Fun game though, with all the money they were making right from day 1 though they should have hired a bunch of people immediately and really built out some good features within the first few months. But I guess they are still making plenty so whatever.

True, and Niantic also owns a part of Nintendo. The plot thickens...

Niantic, Nintendo, Nirvana, Nigel Farage, Nibiru, the Knights who say Ni... I see a pattern, but I'm too scared to uncover the horrible truth that lies underneath!

My problem exactly with this company. They want to spend as little as possible. They are cheap as fuck and only get away with it because their fans will buy anything as long as it has Pokemon. The potential for greatness is there, but they can't be bothered. |
We don't need to spend that much money lol. That'll be on the lines of a next gen GTA 6 game.
However, we all know the games aren't made for anything more than 10,000,000 (maybe more with ads). A Switch version will probably see them use more, but don't forget that throwing money at games doesn't automatically make them better
