Eh. I'm playing the first one now. I'm 25 hour in but I'm not blown away. Right now, I'd say that Original Sin is a better made game (though it also had plenty of flaws). PoE's maps are boring and I loathe the Endurance mechanic. Dungeons are the same thing over and over. I'm still playing but I'm definitely not putting another game into the "must buy" category.

It looks so good on the surface and all, but I had the same problem with Pillers of Eternity as I had with Balder's Gate - the game just didn't move me. I didn't care one bit about the characters. Not one single yota. It was just a chore, a waste of time without any value. Which was sad. Very very sad.
I loved the first one... its one of the "few" games from a kickstarter that turned out right.
I cant get enough of these types, stuff like "Fallout 1-2, Planescape torment, UnderRail, Icewind dale 1-2, Baldurs Gate 1-2" ect.
^ all amasing games. Topdown isometric RPGs like these are pretty epic usually.
Baldur's Gate is one of my favorite games of all time. This looks so similar, it's uncanny. However, it looks stiff and the combat looks kind of boring. After almost 20 years, I'd hope developers to be able to spice up the genre a bit instead of blatantly copying it.
Part one to release on consoles 8-29-17. I'm hoping the same will be done for part II.
I am backer. First one was solid game, but had too many annoying battles. This time Obsidian promised make more balace between quests, dialoges and battles.
PS: sorry for my poor grammar.

Planescape: Torment and Fallout 1/2 are some of my all time favourites...pretty much all Interplay's CRPG from that period were great, along with few that were made by (pretty much) the same people after Interplay shutdown.
I don't have as much time to play such games anymore, but I liked first PoE, so I'll probably pick up 2nd one as well.
Also for folks looking for good old school iso-CRPGs, Torment: Tides of Numenera, Tyranny, Age of Decadence are few titles they might want to check out.

Nice to get the game to more customers, but I have a hard time imagining how it works with a gamepad. The gameplay seems so mouse-oriented.
