Its available in several stores here in the netherlands so I don't see the shortage anymore and it hasn't been out for that long yet.
The PS4 had MUCH longer shortages that lasted a complete year it was almost impossible to get

I think Switch can put up a fight, but will fall short over lifetime, as it probably will have a shorter lifespan.
I don't think the Switch will sell more than the PS4 tbh. PS4 is beasting since release, and it's really, really hard to beat it. But I think it'll be in a really healthy second position.

Yeah I find it funny how people are like, "I just saw it in stock in the UK (or any other region), so the hype must have died down."
Word of advice people, wait a day or two to see if it sells out again before jumping to conclusions. Otherwise someone will prove you wrong just like this.
Also when it is jacked up on amazon or walmart's online store, rhat does not mean it is in stock. It means you are looking at a 3rd party seller trying to resell it at a jacked up price. Even smaller business can be seen trying to do this.

Ah well, it only took a week or so to go out of stock. The ARMs bundle is still around though.

We don't know if it's doing well, only that it's doing better than wiiu. It's so supplied constrained that it's hard to say much about it. For example, wii was supplied contrained but also pulled big numbers. Could it have done better than wii with proper stock? Perhaps.
Having said that, software sales, from what I've noticed, are pretty high. Both 1st and 3rd party games. Don't know if it will keep being the case when more and more games are released on it, but at the moment, things do look good.
Oh man.. Nintendo is doomed once again.. =D
I don't think it'll catch up PS4 but I believe it'll be nonetheless a very successfull console/handheld.
Games is what really matters. It'll keep the momentum. (I hope so).
