Smash Bros. played with that 95-ish controller? Thanks, but no

| Renar said: How do we know that it isn't Sony and MS that isn't allowing Nintendo games to sell on their consoles? Worried perhaps that if they did, and those games did so well, soon others would charge them with the criticism of 'only Nintendo games sell on your consoles'. Just because this might be the case is no reason to keep Ninty games off those consoles. Because this is just as likely as the OP's case, the boycott should be broaden to include MS, Sony, PC and cell phones. Board games as well just because I haven't seen a LoZ from Parker Brothers either! |

Unfortunately your entire thesis missed one glaring point. Hardware.
Nintendo's software is too unique and inherently demanding that it takes specific requirements in hardware to ensure the cosmic balance between gameplay and immersion.
It is not that Nintendo hasn't tried to put its software on other consoles, PS3 and 360 most recently, its just that the high levels of quality required by Nintendo software are not achieved on Sony and MS hardware.
Panasonic was able to meet this this highly unique set of specifications and released a highly successful "Q". This genius of a platform has been the only non-Nintendo console able to meet such feat. Surely it will be a long, long time before we see such a miraculous achievement again.
So I say to you, do NOT put forth your blame on Nintendo, yet, stare angerly toward the real criminals, MS and Sony.

I suddenly see why you're a "Proud PSP fan."
ah c'mon, no one found my use of the Panasonic Q funny? Man I really need to work on my subtle sarcasm humor.
What? aprils fool was about a week ago.. do you seriously beleive this?
PS360 "Deserve" nothing from Nintendo, just as any nintendo fan will never play god of war, or gears of war
No one "deserves" anything besides without games like mario and zelda, the wii would have a mucha harder time competing against the HD consoles, what are they? stupid? It's called exclusives, and these are the ones that sell systems
You're argument only applies to software makers, but Nintendo is a hardware maker aswell, they are not going to give ammunition to their rivals
And who do sony and microsoft think they are to complain about this, let them take the first step and give Nintendo owners (the biggest gaming comunity of the current generation) Halo wii, and GoW wii, and GT5 Wii... this is just plain... childish
Listen to the voice of reason, then do as I say.

I know it is sarcasm. I think what spurred Game_Boy to make this post is MSs claim that it is Nintendo holding back Goldeneye on the 360.
Also several Rare games have appeared on the DS and rare is owned by MS now as we all know. There was even a Halo game being develeoped for teh DS before it got cancelled.
1. The reason why games like Diddy Kong Racing went to the DS was because diddy kong (the character) was sold to nintendo and the n64 version was an exclusive.
2. Since MS has no handheld they can do anything about it since they're not competing with nintendo in that area.
3. And that halo DS idea was canceld due to MS still owning Bungie.

Perhaps this post is as much of a joke as the OT, but, uh, of course MS releases their games on PC. Before they got into the console business they became one of the biggest companies in the world by, you know, controlling the PC industry. I mean, PC hardware companies come and go, but quite literrally what defines a PC as a PC is that they run on Windows and, before that, DOS.
A better comparison would be to say MS releases games on Macs, which would be correct, since they allow porting of some of their games to Macs.
My consoles and the fates they suffered:
Atari 7800 (Sold), Intellivision (Thrown out), Gameboy (Lost), Super Nintendo (Stolen), Super Nintendo (2nd copy) (Thrown out by mother), Nintendo 64 (Still own), Super Nintendo (3rd copy) (Still own), Wii (Sold)
A more detailed history appears on my profile.
