I hope you are kidding. They are the scourge of gaming in my opinion. Some is OK, but there is way too much already. If you like that stuff, stick with Xbox.

The poll is too narrow. There needs to be a third option for those of us that play a mix of both, but prefer story based, single player games like myself. I do like a little reflex action for a break between big RPGs and long story games though.
I only play games that have a narrative. I'm not interested in racking up arbitrary points or scores, they mean nothing to me.
I want to be told a story and I love how the way games can do that has found so many great ways in the recent years. It's really a great time for people who enjoy that sort of thing.

Since when do single player orientated games mean bad game play? The idea that a story driven game will have bad game play is unfounded.
OT: I'm loving Sony's first party direction with games like Horizon, TLG, Uncharted 4 + Lost Legacy, Gravity Rush 2, God of War, even niche games like Dreams & Everybody Golfs seem are interesting. No need for more multiplayer games on the market.
Typically when you try to cater to everybody, you end up catering to nobody. Swiss army knife games tend to feel like they have no focus and they don't really hit any of their notes to make something special.
But Sony hasn't really made any real missteps yet with their first party games. I think they have done well at maintaining their focus and adding to the things that make their games great. They haven't lost focus. I think this way of thinking is certainly dangerous if you lose focus, but until Sony does, I won't complain.
