Forums - Gaming - Would you rather- Super Mario Sunshine 2 or Super Mario Galaxy 3

Which game would you prefer to have?

Super Mario Sunshine 2 111 40.51%

Super Mario Galaxy 3 137 50.00%

Knack 2 26 9.49%

Total:274

Super Mario Galaxy 2 already came out 7 years ago. Also 2 least favorite Mario games so no more of either thanks. I'd take 3D world 2 over a sequel to either of those. I really want a Super Mario World 3 using the Mario Odyssey graphics. I also want Super Mario RPG 2 from Monolith and SE's permission to use Geno.

Yes Galaxy 3 would be awesome. But doubt it would happen. Probably a Odyssey 2 down the lane is more probable.
Yet I would love a remaster or sequel to super mario world! Loved that game endlessly

The thread title says Galaxy 2 instead of 3
Anyway, Galaxy over Sunshine any day.

Good eye. Thanks!

Galaxy 3. Sunshine is definitely the weakest of all the 3D Marios imho.

Knack 2 is already a thing, be happy about it!

I'd rather have SMB 4... a true sequel to SMB 3. Get the original SMB3 team together and let them do it.

Knack 2 will completely cannibalize GTA5 sales, as in setting GTA5 sales to zero and starting off with tens of millions sold.

This! Every copy of GTA5 will be replaced by a copy of Knack 2 come launch day. Nothing will top that in sales!

Knack 3 will top it by stealing Minecraft sales.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

We already got Super Mario Sunshine 2, it's called Odyssey. Same open-levels and hub concept, and you collect moon pieces instead sunshines. So it's pretty much Super Mario Moonlight.

SM64 2

They are two different types of platformers so I would like both. If you asked me last year before we knew about Odyssey, I would have said Super Mario Sunshine 2, because it had been a long time since we got an exploration/collect-a-thon style Mario. However, after Odyssey I would say I want a Galaxy 3 with some cues from SM3DW, like the multiplayer elements and some of the nostalgic elements that Land/World brought from 2D Mario games (such as using flagpoles instead of stars to finish a level, which makes sense for a more linear 3D Mario game).

Good to see 3D MARIO games are back in vogue.
