That always sucks that so many games are 30fps on console. I mean, it's not an ego-shooter where it would be more important but it still looks like a game where 60fps would make a lot of sense for a better "feel" of the gameplay.

Insomniac had made it clear a while back, i think it was during the time Ratchet and clank into the nexus. that they are done with 60fps and will focus more on visual fidelity.. so this is not a surprise as the engine is optimized at 30fps gameplay. Hence the reason Sunset overdrive never came to PC.

30fps is not an issue as long as it is rock solid.. i hated infamous second son unlocked framerate mode, too jittery. Uncharted 4, Horizon and insomniac own Ratchet and clank are prime example of how 30fps should be done.

I would prefer all of them with 60fps and worse graphics but yes, locked 30fps is better as if it would be 40-60 all the time. That feels really bad. If devs can't achieve at least close to locked 60fps on consoles with only a few dips below it then 30fps is ok. 

Good for me but I guess bad for some others. I prefer resolution over frame rate.

And there it is the whining about an open world console game which isn't playable in 60fps. Buy a decent pc and stop complaining l. There are people who can enjoy games and movies in 30 and even 24 fps. This isn't a FPS or an ultra fast paced game like Nier or Bayonetta so 30fps is fine. If you want to play this game in 60fps wait till PS5 spidey remastered.

About what I expected, as long as the framerate is stable it should be fine.

I feel so bad for people who can only play 60 fps games. That must really suck. It makes me happy that I can adapt to the game I'm playing.

I guess I'm lucky that I can enjoy myself rather than worry about technical aspects. I never even think about fps until I come online and see people saying they can't play a really great game because it's 30 fps rather than 60 fps. That must be depressing.
