Forums - General - Italy and Argentinas 2006 and 78,86 world cup titles were flukes

italy played really nasty to win theworld cuip in 2006. the game vs USa was a prime example.  next the game vs australia was a very lucky win. that penalty at the end was BULLSHIT. fucking grosso dived like a bitch.  then italy was france. typical materazzi had to resort to desperate measures to win. half of the italian team shuldnt have been in the world cup. they shouldve been banned cause of that matxh fixing scandal. am i right?

argentina had to beat peru 6-0 6 nothing to get to the final. guess what? THEY WON 6-0. they were playing in argentina which shouldve made sense to why they won. bribes maybe? threats maybe? o ya must i also mention that the peru keeper was bron in argentina. peru was not a tough team to beat that bad back then. anyone else think this result was ironic?

next is the 86 title. argentina wouldve lost to england if it wasnt for that fucking cheating maradona and his hand og god. im so glad they lost to germany the next world cup.

now dont get me wrong. i dont hate italians or argentiens at all. i just hate certain players and teams that thyeve had. i like otti, i like inter, i like messi and tevez, and i LOVE riquelme. i just hate maradona and materazzi.

Noone like the Argentinians. You forgot to to mention they also fough a war against England in 1982 in the Falklands.

Also, the Patriots record this year was a fluke that came to a satisfying conclusion with a reality called Eli.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Well the hand of god is something that gave argetina a cheat world cup, just like italys penalty dive. However the same argument can be leveled at englands world cup in 66.

The most upsetting final result was EC won by Greece... sabotage football at its finest, like Norway played in mid 90's.
I hate my own nations football team, there are heaps of individual talents but no will to cooperate and actually play ball as a team effort.

Sounds like england.

Though I wouldn't mind an explanation of this

"typical materazzi had to resort to desperate measures to win"

Italy deserved to win that world cup for their incredible defense. I mean they only conceeded 2 goals in the whole thing. An own goal and a penalty. That's impressive.
