Well Xbox One X just got properly shown at the recent E3. The PS4 at E3 (since it's own event didn't actually show the console |
But now you're counting the announcement for 1 console and the first showing for another. ;)

E3 is the only one with MS, Sony and Nintendo so my pick is still E3

Considering E3 seems to have the biggest everything, what makes people think Gamescom is somehow more important?
PSX because it shows more of the games I care about =p

Always? How has it ever been Gamescom? E3 is where the big games get announced or shown off for the first time. E3 is where new hardware is properly revealed for the first time. And so on and so forth. Until another show starts being the first place big games and hardware is shown off I don't think they can really claim to have the same, let alone more, importance than E3. |
Attendance. E3 only matters for marketing. As a game show, gamescom is far, far bigger.
I'd call the big 3 E3, Gamescom and TGS. I'd say that E3 is the biggest of the three.

). Both the Wii and Wii U were first shown at E3 (albeit announced beforehand). And the Switch was kind of announced at E3 under the codename NX (IIRC the only other info then was that Zelda was coming to it).
