Mario for sure. Not a question. When was the last time we had a non-spinoff mario game which was bad? Even the worst Mario game  is still decent at the worst (new Super Mario Brothers 2).

Also, i know this is off topic, but I'm actually interested in Knack 2. The first one was disappointing, but the new one actually seems promising

Odyssey will be my pick for sure, never got into the Sonic franchise, unfortunately

There's physically no way any other game on the list can top Odyssey. I love Sonic, love the guy. Sonic Forces looks okay but I don't think we'll see a 3D platformer from another company top Odyssey for some time. Haven't been this excited for a Mario game in years.

Even against the other 3D Mario games, Forces would have no chance no matter how good it may look or be, now compared to how perfect Odyssey looks, I think is a bit unfair for the hedgehog :P

I love Sonic. I've always been a much bigger fan of his than I have of Mario, and I'm really liking what I've seen from Forces (and Mania), but there's just no way it can compete with what is looking to be the best 3D Mario game ever made. No way.
I honestly think this is a little unfair to Sonic. Let the poor guy get back on his feet first after how Boom...boomed.
