I like it but the outside of the shield kinda looks empty.

I have to say they are quite good, better than the current ones, they look more modern and contempory.

The ones with the seven sides (Surely that shape has a name) look very nice.

I don't like them, apart from the £1 when my problem is with the colour, it should be gold!
I just think the coat of arms does not work like that, there were individual parts on each one, it might be okay

What do the coins that are being replaced look like?

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

Wow ... they actually look pretty damn cool :D

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

I love the new 50 pence piece.

the 5 pence is ugly as hell

Our coins HAVE been redesigned several times since decimalisation so it is not true that they're the first redesign. The 5p used to be enormous.

I don't know when they're bringing this in, they change our coins all the time though. There are commemorative editions for just about everything.
