That's an awful lot of Nintendo games... I would be scared if I was you... you could be a Nintendo fan.

Well, these are some huge generalisations, but most of them do actually apply to me.

This is what I've noticed about Nintendo fans since I started surfing internet gaming websites about Nintendo fans that is NOT applicable to PlayStation, Xbox and PC gamers. These aren't all negative or positive, the company should be held upto some of these standards but on others I can agree with them. They are:

They don't complain about hardware capability of their system and its price to performance ratio.
Indeed, I think that all Nintendo consoles are more than powerful enough.

They don't complain about lack of big AAA third party games on their Nintendo platform and are willing to spend more on another entirely different platform for that even though they want to play those games on their own platforms.
More games would be nice of course, but I mostly play Nintendo games or indies.

They don't mind having only a few new games to play every year.
Well, I can't afford more than a few new games every year, so this is not a problem for me.

They are highly excited for almost any game that is made by Nintendo because its made by Nintendo and looks fairly decent.
True, but 'almost' is a very important word here.

They like portable gaming as much as gaming on a TV or monitor.
Nice and comfortable gaming >>> Having to sit before your TV all the time.

They don't mind a lack of content, or don't perceive a less than 50 hour long game as a short game.
Erm.. Do Sony/Microsoft fans consider 50 hours to be short??

They prefer PIXAR like graphics over realistic graphics.
Of course, if I want realistic graphics I just go outside.

They prefer gameplay simplicity and accessibility over depth.
Not really. Fun and colourful games can be deep too.

They are less critical of their company of choice over any issue and the criticism that comes from them for their preferred company is more constructive and doesn't consist of blanket statements.

They like playing retro games more than others.
I don't know how much others like retro games, but I do indeed like them.

They almost only discuss Nintendo games and not any third party games even when they do have other platforms to play most third party games that they say they bought to play those third party games.

Edit: These are based on comments on various sites, discussions and buying habits I've noticed. Rather than spewing hate for some of the statements that you don't agree with come up with a rational reply.

Nintendo fans were receptive to having such an option in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, other gamers would hate even having such an option. Also it could be intended for younger gamers but anyone can use it making the game easier and who is to say many of them don't use that. Forza also has some options that make it simpler but its core gameplay can still be incredibly hard to get used to and it has plenty of depth even after the fact. Gran turismo has nothing at all like that, you either get it or you don't.

Devil May Cry 3 has more depth than Bayonetta 2 and also it actually succeeded on other platforms showing that PlayStation and PC gamers want that depth. I didn't say Nintendo platforms have no game with depth, but the ones they have don't sell that well.

All these kinds of games are hard to learn, Devil May Cry 3 is also hard to learn even moreso due to its difficulty. Again you have a good point but for one reason or another, you can't get into these games, which aslo seems to be the case for a huge portion of Nintendo fans from what I see with the sales of these games inspite of their critical reception.

I'll admit I never played Gran Turismo and was talking out of my ass about it, but I do recall Forza's easy options being completely ridiculous, in fact it even had a rewind feature if I remember correctly... and no, I don't remember anyone complaining about those options being there. People just used them, or didn't, end of story.

As for the rest of your post, thanks for ignoring everything I said about Smash and already assuming I "can't get into" certain games without even knowing if I tried them or not. I was one of the few brave enough to bite, now I'll just do what everyone else did and back off.

You said you played the game, didn't say that its your fault or something that you couldn't get into it. Just said for any reason Nintnedo fans didn't get into these games, still the outcome remains the same. These games with incrdeibly deep mechanics didn't sell well.

Yes Forza has that rewind feature, what I'm saying was the basic handling model is so much more advanced that the gameplay can still be considered deep, as no matter how many times you use rewind, you'll still have to make the best use of your car's layout, handling quirks and thetypes of corners you'll be taking. Does it make it easier? Yes, but the ceiling was quite high before.

I guess I don't understand Smash Bros combat depth. For me in a fighting game its about how many combos each characetrs has in his arsenal, how much timing and reflexes are required and the variation of character roster and additional quirks if any. I don't find Smash Bros on the level of Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur.

You decide man. I didn't say EVERY Nintendo fan, that can never be the case when you make general statements about a huge group of people, just the majority that I see on the internet.

Ummh....what? This is so wrong on so many levels.

It's hard to state which console manufacturer has the least receptive fans. It's almost a stupid idea to even consider, tbh. I think a case could be made for Sony, but consodering it's like a golden era for Playstation, the line between less receptive and just liking the console feels blurred.

The Xbox is the worst console on the market in almost every way, but I don't know if i'd say the xbox fans are "less receptive" because moat big xbots seemed to have moved to ps4 or pc, and so the platform is bought by people that just prefer the platform.

I get that nintendo fans sometimes cut Nintendo some slack, but Nintendo fans are literally ALWAYS complaining and trying to make the company more cooperative. I honestly dont think we would have seeen a Prime 4 teaser if it wasnt dor the Federation/AM2R backlash.

The only reason Nintendo fans stick with Nintendp is their games, which is a much better reason than a few others i could come up with for competitors

If you realize your general assumptions are not indicitive of a community as a whole, obviously, then what did you want out of this thread?  As of now, all I can see it as is an attempt to not-so-stealthily rile up Nintendo fans. If it is, good job. I wish I made this thread for that reason.

I see general statements like that for every game and every community by everyone. That's what they are, general assumptions. What I said would be like saying all Sonty fans are Naughty Dog fans and play anything they make regardless of how it looks. That would be many, not all, but that would still be indicative of the PlayStation fanbase. And it would make plenty of sense.

nintendo fanboys are the best, they can buy every shit from nintendo only for nintendo games
and trust me, i am one of them

If this thread is innocent, it's down to your own ignorance regarding Nintendo fans. If this thread has ill intentions, then you haven't changed from your old behavior Ucell.

Either way it's not going well and I'm gonna lock it up to save you from any further embarrassment. If I see anyone make a reaction thread they're getting a moderation.
