BUT, gaming is my favorite hobby and collecting just so happens to be my second favorite hobby - so if you combine the two, well then unfortunately decisions need to be made about which ones you open and which ones you don't. :(

I know what you mean. In addition to game collecting, I also collect comic books, and history books as well. Many, many, many of which I have never read (yet?).
Very impressive collection by the way. When it comes to my own game collecting habits, I do limit myself to what I would like to play (or think I would like before actually playing). I don't think I could ever attempt a "Complete" collection of any system (unless I won the lottery or something).
