So in other words, mid gen upgrades are useless. They won't be taken seriously.

Dunno how you got that from this, it's not saying PS4 Pro is same as PS4 version or XBO X version is same as XBO version.

We know what mid-gen upgrades provide, higher resolution and in some cases more stable/higher frame rate, they're not useless but they're certainly not aimed at the majority.

Not bad for a non rival.

Same game, same resolution, same framerate. Yet the hardware for one is at least $100 cheaper?

Yeah he may be right - they aren't rivals.

Hey.  Sometimes paying more for something make you feel superior.

Oh sweet parity..lol. lazy devs. no way xox should be identical to pro. lol

Lazy? Where is the incentive to put anything other than the bare minimum into supporting the PS4 Pro and X1X? All it is is more work with no expected uptick in sales. This is all you were ever going to see out of third parties.

It's probably that the PS4 pro is 1440p upscalled ro 4k with the dynamic 4k stuff... and the Xbox one x is around 1800p with the same technique.....

Which is perf imo 349 or 299 for a ps4 with that ability vs a 500 with the same technique but a higher. Drive resolution which doesn't matter since both are way above 1080p so they both are clear as heck

Stop making me laugh.  You've been doing it too much lately!! Anyway expect things to be pretty close on these platforms.  It will be hard to justify spending $500 when the Pro will likely be $150 cheaper.

Yep, forced parity, barf. Some may make the argument that the game is CPU bound, but even if it is, Scorpio's CPU is a bit faster than Pro's and they designed it so you can offload some CPU tasks to the GPU, so it should still be capable of a higher resolution than PS4 Pro.

Where is the benefit for the 3rd party, there isnt any, except additional cost.

I do find it funny when people say Lazy Devs, devs are far from lazy, but no one would win for all the extra time, cost and effort except for the people selling the machine so wheres the benefit. Of course if they are already doing some improvements due to one of the versions (i.e Pro, PC or XBOXX) then it will go across all as thats the best and easiest method. But to expect people to put in all that effort for nothing back... nah come on,

MS did pay for a marketing deal for AC, you'd think the least Ubisoft could do is take full advantage of the hardware.

But how do you know they are not?

I mean the console is only 6TF its not a next gen machine. Someone has already said in figures what I was saying, which is going from 1400p to 2000 something is a big deal technically by visually will make very little difference (because of checkerboarding)

Not really sure what people are expecting to see, you'll get slightly sharper visuals and better load, pop-in... but its not going to be massively different.

*NOW* if all consoles were only outputting to 1080p only, then you would see big differences between Pro and PS4, and X and others. Because you can use that power to add more features, give better performance. The problem here is that they are both chasing 4K, so effectively that power is being wasted on resolution and not new features. Having to get upto 4K takes more than these consoles have available, for very little gain. So a 1440 and 2000 (whater it is) resolution will look very very similar but take so much resources to get there.

Hopefully next gen stays targeting 4k, then all that extra juice can go for details, AI, framerate and whatever else. It would just be wastefull to go any higher than 4k, while now most people cant tell the diference.
