Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo scaling up Switch production as quickly as possible, improving supply “a key focus”

his information comes from Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime…

“What we are doing, as quickly as we can, is scaling up the production to make more available into the marketplace, to get to the point where every consumer who wants a Nintendo Switch can find a Nintendo Switch.”

“That’s what we’re trying to get to. I’m not going to tell you when we’ll get there, but our goal is to improve our supply chain so that more product is available to more consumers. And that is a key focus.”

Good stuff, each time someone gets told no at the checkout to buy a switch hurts them down the line.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

They best before Odyssey arrives. I think they can hit their goals within the year. I'd be worried if a Pokemon game was coming this year but because it isn't, frankly because it wasn't time for it and it has started development, they should be golden.

Glad they know its happening and they are going to fix it.

Pocky Lover Boy!

shouldn't be too hard to catch up before the holidays, only Japan is going to be a problem because of Splatoon 2

My guess is that there probably will be stock issues for the rest of the year

The more supply is available there the better it is for the system.

Whenever supply is out of stock, you have a chance of losing the impulse buy from people just shopping around that maybe weren't really planning to get it. If the store doesn't have it then you let them rethink the decision about getting it later down the line.

The only time its a bad thing to have over-stock is when you are like the Wii U which had no trouble with stock issues...and that caused a backlash in itself.

They'd better be able to improve production, o else the sowtware sales will end on a horrible bottleneck.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Get that production up, Nintendo. The Switch is selling decently at a $400 price. This thing seems to be quite in demand.

I don't know, since Splatoon was much bigger in the west than in Japan, I think supply will still be a problem for a long time...

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
