I love how everyone is bashing the Hardware over a 3rd party title game made by a 3rd party company who clearly isn't putting in any effort into the machine.
"Yup lets blame the hardware, its the hard wares fault that a Dev team isn't trying." <8th Gamer.

While what they do with the hardware can give us an indicator, I do agree that Ubisoft is far from the company I would use as the benchmark for what ANY of the consoles are gonna be capable of.

Wasn't it stated that Devs have only had the X1X Dev kit for like a month. So you are seeing demos that were created for the conference running stable 4K 30FPS with a month using the Dev kit with probably no optimization of their code. Yes they are using Checkerboarding because the main mid gen system they probably had was the PS4 Pro and they needed to convert that code to the X1X because the checkerboarding is not the same between the 2 consoles. If anything this proves out Phil statement that it takes nothing for Devs to upgrade their game to 4K to support the X1 with their current game engines. It will be interesting to see if these games can go true 4K on X1X once the developers get to their optimization phase.

On another level, I wonder if MS will show during gamescon Gears, Horizon and Halo 5 on X1X hardware in public viewing. MS was showing Gears and Horizon behind close doors but they really need to get those franchise stables in public running in 4K with 4K assets. Icing on the cake and a good marketing tool is if they can have all those games running at 60FPS. This would give more justification to the X1X price and hardware and be a good sell for MS.

Hmmm I don't know, that would be weird if true. Considering they basically announced the specs at e3 2016. You'd have thought they could give out representative dev-kits immediately after that.

The devs from the Sea of Theives is the one who made that statement when he was asked if the game will be true 4k.  So if internal 1st party devs only had the Dev unit for a month I cannot see any 3rd party having it any sooner.  Also the dev kits where only show last month during the so I believe this statement is true.

Eurogamer got given final hardware by microsoft back in April, so I highly doubt 1st party have only had devkits for a month.

And how do you know this.  Also I could not find any article from DF that says the date MS had final hardware.  Hell I cannot find anything that showed the Dev kit until after the DF article in late May.  You are only making a speculation on what final hardware means to you compared to the process of MS getting final hardware and giving it to their Devs.  I have no clue the time frame from Final to Dev kit to shipping it to their devs but I see no reason to doubt the dev word.

Eurogamer had been giving access to the final specs machine by April 6th. I'm not making speculation on what final hardware is, Eurogamer had final hardware.

So final specs reveal is somehow conclusive when actual Dev kits arrived to developers.  Does that make any sense to you.  So between April and what timeframe in April to E3 because even then if a late April date when the kit was sent to E3 thats still pretty much within a Month time frame.

Look if you think they revealed Dev Kits to the press before they even gave them to their 1st party studios I don't have anything to discuss with you.

It sounds to me too much hype over hardware that isn't even ready that's fairly late in the generational cycle.
