Madden will be native 4K on PS4 Pro too, same as FIFA 17 last year.

Destiny 2 won't be native 4K on PS4 Pro, but it's $100 cheaper.

Yeah, but you'll have the inferior version of the game and the inferior online network. Not to mention, the sports games will probably have better textures on xbox one x.

But, he also won't have to wait a month to play the "superior" version, seeing as how the XBX launches that long after Destiny 2.  So, yea, Destiny isn't doing anything to help the X.  Also, I don't think Bungie has announced what either console's resolution will be.

That's not what I am saying at all.

Just the precedent hasn't been set for it. And that is not the message Microsoft is portraying with it's supersampling.

So that's not how the Xbox consoles work then, which is what you claimed. It's just the way games have worked so far in practice (which of course makes it a reasonable assumption that the same is going to hold true for future games as well).

Developeres make a game for a set resolution and a set framerate. The Xbox upscales and downscales to match your display. That's how it's always been. That is how it is on Scorpio.
If you disagree. Then I am sorry. But I don't care. History is on my side.

Teams will get better with the hardware as time goes on. These are launch games for the 1X. Right?

So why isnt there a 60fps mode for Gears of War 4 too, at least for 1080p? Like Tombraider had in its presentation for PS4 Pro?

Yeah, sorry folks, "true 4K" is still exclusive to PC!

I call bullshit on this one. You can set the resolution on the Xbox on how it should output the resolution to the TV. So it upscales/downscales the image inside the Xbox. It doesn't know the TV's resolution. The TV receives the information and does the upscalling/downscaling again depending on the resolution of the TV and the resolution of the Xbox's output and applies post processing features to increase the image quality (If that's activated).

Here's a very badly made video on how to adjust the settings on the Xbox 360:

You are confused on internal and external resolutions.

X1X is not gonna do everything at 4K, but now we'll have to wait and see what it can do at 4K. Which will certainly be more than PS4 Pro can do.

On a side note, this isn't just gonna have the best resolution of all versions. That RAM upgrade should allow it to have vastly superior textures than other consoles.

I would lie if I would say that I'm surprised by the lack of an actual counter argument.
