I wanna highlight the amount of games (software) being sold on PS4:

January 1st: 401.1 million software sold on 53.4 million PS4s (attach ratio of 7.51)
June 11th: 487.7 million software sold on 60.4 million PS4s (attach ratio of 8.08)

That's 86.6 million games sold on PS4 in the first 5 months and 11 days of the year.

Digital is a lot bigger now, and it's easy to see how a bunch of good sales on the PS Store translate to much higher unit sales.

It's pretty easy to see that the gaming market as a whole is pretty elastic (in terms of demand.)

Well, that includes PSN games. You can stock up over 20 games per year this way. Considering there are over 20 million PSN subscribers, theoretically, you could get that figure from free games only ... in one year.

Maybe this will get through to the people saying PS4 sales are going down, yes I'm looking at you Teriol.

7 Million in the first 5 months 10 days. Like I've been saying for a while, this is the peak year. VGC only has the PS4 selling around 5 million over the same time-frame last year.

Looks like the "Japanese niche crap" contributed to the domination.

Last year it was 5 million units over the same periode... I think I read on neogaf.

So yeah its up YoY.
