That's a bad comparison because the development of an AAA game is much, much more resource-demanding than the development of backwards compatibility, especially when said backwards compability has already been developed for previous hardware and experience obtained from the process (in the case of Sony).
Anyway, I value backwards compatibility a lot, so taking into account the low quality of the comparison, I voted for backwards compatibility. In a sense, having backwards compatibility brings a lot of safety and convenience in regard to my ability to play the games I've paid for, and I value that safety a lot. I have a pretty long history as a PC gamer by now, and I've always taken backwards compatibility as granted. I also have pretty long history with Sony, which is why it's especially sad to see the non-existent state of backwards compatibility on PS4.
