The price cut didn't show the price from scorpio, how you guys come up with that? they just done from the xbox one its over after 3 years and in 6 months they stop producing it
The 399$ that be the price for the xbox scorpio is because the most powerful console is here now and its cost 250 and of course they notice that ps4 pro price will be cut as wel.
Also we are the same gen still and people don't want to spend more to play the same games, but if they promise that all the 3d party games wiil be at 60fps and 1080P and if the forza is looks like that picture from DF, it will be easy win for them and its mean we are in new gen early

I'm sorry, but what exactly are you trying to say?

Xbone its over, price cut has nothing to do with scorpio price the all talk about here, scorpio has no choice to be more than 399, because ps4 is alredy very cheap,  people not going to spend more to play this gen games, and if, like i say, forza and 3d party games looks like DF say so is easy win for MS. 399 plus better games win win and that we see today

IGN asked Microsoft for clarification, it does not include all bundles and is temporary: http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/06/10/e3-2017-microsoft-announces-xbox-one-s-price-drop
Includes the 500GB BF1 bundle and 1TB FH3 bundle, does not include the 500GB Minecraft bundle. Basically the 500GB bundles will be $249, 1TB bundles will be $299. June 11th through June 17th.

not this again

I love my Xbox one but its clear it's losing the battle with ps4 and needs better exclusives, better pricing and better marketing. It seems like pricing is the only realistic option. Really if Microsoft want to take back market share from Sony they need to offer the Scorpio below the ps4 pro price. Selling Scorpio at premium pricing as the most powerful console platform is not going to be successful when ps4 has greater game support and the difference between ps4 pro and Scorpio in performance isn't huge.

Its the 11th....

And MS page from the twitter link, does NOT show any consoles at 199$.

Its price cut is "down" to 249$.... which it already was alot of places? so the effect is a big "huh?".

Thread title is wrong.

Makes it more difficult for the people who want to upgrade from s to scorpio. The resell value has now dropped.

great price!

Nice to see people are still thinking that the minecraft bundle is at $199 when the more cheapest Xbox One S bundle is at $249

I honestly bought an S last year just for the 4K bluray playback. The fact it has some exclusives on it is a bonus.

Same here. Tho I'm pretty disappointed that the exclusive I was most excited for (Ori) I ended up really not enjoying. Actually decided I'm done with it after playing about 4-5hrs, which I rarely do.

But Gears of War is free this week for 10hours, which is pretty sweet. And still hopeful for Cuphead and Sunset Overdrive!

As JRPGfan said, thread title is wrong.

From the OP's source:

"While Microsoft's tweet is confusing and appears to indicate a $50 off the base model that's priced at $249, the software giant has clarified to The Verge that the price cut is only on certain bundles. The Xbox One S Battlefield 1 500GB bundle and the Xbox One S 1TB Forza Horizon 3 bundle will both be discounted by $50. Effectively, this means 500GB bundles are $249, and 1TB bundles are $299."~

From Polygon (aslo in OP):

[Update: Microsoft emailed to clarify the announcement, with details on which bundles would be available for discount — noting that pricing may vary by retailer — and specifying that the discount would only last the week. This piece has been updated accordingly.]

So it's only specific bundles, for one week. Cheapest is $249 not $199.

$399 Scorpio NOT confirmed then.
