Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft cuts Xbox One S price to $249 for the upcoming week

IGN asked Microsoft for clarification, it does not include all bundles and is temporary: http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/06/10/e3-2017-microsoft-announces-xbox-one-s-price-drop
Includes the 500GB BF1 bundle and 1TB FH3 bundle, does not include the 500GB Minecraft bundle. Basically the 500GB bundles will be $249, 1TB bundles will be $299. June 11th through June 17th.

This should prove that Scorpio will be $399 at most.

With Xbox One S now $199 I do not see how Scorpio can be $499 which would be $300 more. Not even $449 for Scorpio.

Are we dreaming Scorpio could be $299? Microsoft might as well give it away for free!

They sold the original Xbox at a mighty loss. They have the pockets to go $299.99 if they wanted to.

So, the thread title needs to be changed.  They were already selling the MC bundle at $249.  This cut just cuts some others to $249, too.  I don't see this doing too much.

So thread title gonna be updated?

That tweet was not well thought out. Obviously people were gonna think that meant a $200 option.

The twitter messages makes so very little sense now. They included a generic picture of the xbox one, instead of one of the only TWO bundles it applies to.

Plus it links to ALL of the box instead of again.. the only two that are being affected.

Along with not including the end date or the word "temporary".

So it goes from "permanent $50 price drop for all consoles" to "a week long $50 price drop for two bundles".

Hey, it's MS afterall.

$200 is actually pretty tempting. If I make enough money from work, I may decide to buy one!

May want to re-read the thread.

Apparently Microsoft was quiet unclear in their messaging.  Assuming IGN is to be believed.

That's a bit too much for me.

I honestly bought an S last year just for the 4K bluray playback. The fact it has some exclusives on it is a bonus.

And this means less sales for ps4.

34 years playing games.

Doesn't seem that it's 199 though.
