At first, I thought this was a thread from around the time of PS4 launch.

Pretty shocked to see so many in June 2017(!) still believing/hoping that PS4 won't outsell Wii  Ö

well, PS5 is not exactly right at the corner, as we know nothing about. Furthermore, we all know about Wii getting flatter and flatter after its 4th year, while PS4 is still very healthy and Sony are still holding back a price cut worldwide. Great AAA titles will be released in 2019, and PS4 will continue to sell in 2020 and 2021. How you can believe PS4 will not pass Wii goes beyond my understanding.  PS4 sold very close to 10M worldwide, if I'm not wrong, from Sept to Dec 2017, so, even selling 1 million less in the same time frame, PS4 would reach almost 91.5M by end of 2018. Now,  Wii "only" sold 101,64M;  so, you really believe that PS4 will not sell more than 10M from end of 2018 to the end of its life cycle ??  Not only PS4 will pass Wii, but it will probably pass 120M by the end of its lifespan.   

Anyway, back on Topic, PS4 will pass Wii by the end of Oct 2019.  My prediction.

I have some ideas as to why he would post something like that. Not looking for a ban though. It was a fairly common occurrence for him to post anti-PS comments with little grounding in logic or reason.

Wii/ OGPS numbers are a given and 120M is a very fair number, but what you guys think about 130M?

The chance are very low, but i wouldn't be surprised to see 130M PS4 if sony can put MSRP at $149 and produce crossgen games at the start of nextgen. That would be a very smart and logic move from sony, since the PS4 user base is huge, crossgen would certainly generate extra sales for games like GoW2 and Horizon 2 and, most likely, some extra sales for PS4 that would work as an "entry model" for those that want to play PS4 games.

Let's say instead of the Wii u they supported the Wii for another 2 years and gave it the games Wii u got in its first 2 years. While yes sales would be higher i still think ps4 would outsell whatever number it would have reached anyway.
