I'll believe it when i see it.
I do hope it comes in 2017, that would be awesome, but let's not count our chickens before they hatch; at E3 2013 Tropical Freeze was announced for Holiday 2013, but ended up being pushed back to 2014. A delay to 2018 could still happen.
I read the title as 'RumorXplain' at first for some reason.
If it gets delayed I'm not too bothered... as we got Mario. And judging by the English VAs I'm playing it safe and say it does get delayed it will be early 2018, like Feb.

I hope it comes out in November! As early in November as possible, unlike XCX. I don't think that early-December release helps games sell more. Just gives them less holiday time. I'm just really happy it's coming out this year, and that I was right to feel like 99% of the people were being arrogant to just dismiss the planned release year they were telling us, and assuming that there was NO WAY they could have the game far along when they already had the XCX engine built, and they started working on it, surely, by late 2014/early 2015, giving them all of 2015, 2016, and now basically all of 2017 to make it. 3 years is plenty of time. Especially when they have two separate teams. And they were bothering to say 2017 worldwide, whereas with XCX they just said TBD everywhere except Japan, where they originally said 2014. I just didn't understand all the negativity in assuming a delay was inevitable. But glad I kept the faith. Game looks great, especially during the Treehouse Presentation. Has everything I wanted. So much like the first game, but still very unique too. And I also really like the British and Scottish voice acting, reminiscent of the first game, rather than the strictly American voice acting from XCX, which I found rather dull. Just funny that people get so bent out of shape about clips taken out of context to use in a trailer. They sound fine, and they'll be even better in the right context. Plus, inevitably, we'll get used to them. The VA in the original was mixed in quality too, but I rarely hear people complain about it these days. Breath of the Wild's was mixed too, and yet that game is considered one of the all-time greats now by a lot of people.
Upcoming Games To Get
Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)
Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

Ooohh, don't you taste a bit salty right now :P (I'm just poking, don't worry) |
Why because Nintendo constantly delays every single game? Yes, so salty... of course. Realism has nothing to do with it.
What we saw at E3 didn't look like it was nearly finished to be honest; grass was fading in like two meters in front of the player's feet, and the Nintendo guys even pointed out that they were still working on polishing the graphics. XCX at E3 2014 looked closer to completion.
