According to this Ghost Recon and For Honor are the best selling games of 2017 in the USA. That is in contradiction with VGChartz which would have Zelda 1st and also has Horizon selling more then For Honor.

I didn't think that many people bought console games digitally. The difference between Ghost Recon and Zelda is about 200k.

Yeah, I don't really get it. it's a short term remedy that is making the situation worse down the line. But good for marketing I assume. Now they both did it, Sony and Nintendo.

I don't recall Sony making a PR thing out of it. I do recall Nintendo doing so and several articles latching on to the Switch shortage issues.

There was a thread when Sony announced to ship 18 million units this fiscal year where there was some doubt whether they would sell more or less than last year or simply be flat. Besides there are plenty of Wii vs PS4 threads in which people predict the PS4 would sell less than last year. But appearently even without the price cut its already in beast mode.

Nice to see that. That's for sure nobody can beat PS4 first place this generation.
