Better than I was expecting, I was thinking it'd land somewhere in the 70s.
I'm surprised it actually managed to hit the 80 mark.

I predicted 77 and its at 78 right now. More often than not games turn out to be exactly what they look like, and this one didnt look like much.

Was pretty sure this was going to be a 75+ title so not surprised.
A 78 metascore is pretty good.
It looks like it's in a similar position as the first splatoon. Great concept, great gameplay and aesthetics but it lacks actual content/variation. Still, solid reviews for a new title.

OT: Maybe this will suffocate the conspiracy theories that claim critics inflate their scores for Nintendo games, or slap anything with Nintendo on the box with a 10/10.
Yeah, that's more in line with what I expected.
