I never said we had to nuke Germany. Why would we nuke our compensation fund? Better to demo it somewhere where it wouldn't cause any damage like out at sea or the Netherlands.

Fixed.

Thank god Europe was liberated. Can you imagine a Europe today that would be totally under the foot of Germany? Crazy.

Yeah. In that case I'm sure all of Western Europe would have the same Time Zone as Germany, even Spain.

More like the liberation of Western Europe. My country sure wasn't liberated because it didn't need liberation.

Don't flatter yourself. We didn't really want you anyway.

Yeah, I can see that from the hasty retreat.

not really

God bless the lives who fought and died to liberate Europe.

And to think that so many Russians were killed by their own...

As a supporter of germany in that war.  Your ''liberation of europe'' for me isnt a liberation, but a continuation of the corrupt, wicked and greedy totalatary states. We could have had a national, socialistic state where a nations identity would prosper, and not be burned to ashes. See where europe is heading now. Not so much liberation.

Freedom comes with choice and responsibility.

Not ovens and a State that controlls your entire life-if they want you alive.

Give me a heads up will you so I can move to Germany.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Liberation? Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin divided up Europe at the end of WW2 (feb 1945) and soon after distrusted each other so much they ended the US-Russia alliance and started the cold war. Stalin erected the iron curtain and Truman started the whole demonization of everything communist, which is still ongoing today.

I don't really call it liberation with US nukes being stationed in my birth country as a buffer against the now evil Russians.
