Honestly it's for the best that it dies, so that more support can go to Switch, a machine that has a long future ahead of it.

Yes, hopefully studios currently working on 3DS games will move development to the Switch, that you might have more games to compare unfavorably to Shenmue.

If they move them to Switch then they might actually look better than Shenmue. ;)

Considering that Nintendo has been calling the Switch a home console since Day 1, which you can easily look up on their site, how many times do they have to repeat that until the consumer gets it? lol

The consumer gets it, Ka-pi doesn't. There's a difference.

The the PS4 was selling as badly as the Wii U was, Sony would've given up on it too.

You mean  like how badly  ps3  sold  at start and sony  did everything  they  could  to turn the tide and it did?

Thats not so simple, PS3 never had such a terrible sales like Wii U, you need to understand that after 1st 11 months on market Nintendo shipped only 3.9m Wii U consoles, Wii U had catastrophic sale after launch. Only real problem for PS3 was high price and basicly all Sony needed to do is to lower price to start seling better, while Wii U had plente of huge problems, going from name and marketing, weak launch and 1st year lineup, price, unappealing concept...problem that maid Wii U die in 1st year.

I checked out the Halo release week, and the first few months after launch.  It didn't outsell the PS4 any of those weeks, so I doubt it did at any point.

To be fair though, we never had a 2 month old XBone against a 4.5 year old PS4.

3,5  years, you now understand  why ps5 wont be released  next year or im 2019..

Sony sticks  with  its main system until  next gen.

Nintendo  gave up on wiiu.

Prete sure if Sony had console that is faile on scale like Wii U, they would abandoned much faster than Nintendo did with Wii U, just look Vita.

nope. check wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Switch

Type: Hybrid video game console

"Nintendo considers the Switch a "hybrid" console; it is designed primarily as a home console, with the main unit inserted onto a docking station to connect to a television."

I'll just go and edit wikipedia then so that it says handheld. Since that's what it is...

It obvious that Switch is hybrid, you can call it handheld some person could call it home console, Nintendo is calling it "home console that cou can take on to go", but reality is that is hybrid of home console and handheld that is designed and made that can be used like real home console and like real handheld.

Great sales for Switch, it will be interesting to see sales for May because we know Japan started to receive smaller shipments in May compared to April.

Holy shit Switch
