Nintendo is about to fix the stock issues once and for all with the release of the best 3DS ever revision, which cost 50$ less than New 3ds xl, New 2ds xl in the end of July... Well, if thee amount of units that will be made will be congruent with the demand forestalling a probable selling-out...

Thankfully I haven't worked at Best Buy in about 3 years.  Dunno why you thought I still did.

The stock issues seem to be fine, at least in the US in NYC.  I can get one at any Gamestop in my area.  Most of them even have the Galaxy model.  I'm almost tempted.

3DS had stock issues in the first couple months of the year but they seem to have been solved.

I didnt see any 3DS in stock at my local retailers in Jan/Feb but in Apr/May they have been easy to come by.

Yeah, as you might have seen, I have updated my thread about the 3DS scarcity in the USA and notified people that Nintendo finally restocked new 3ds xl         ( 2DS too ) on May...

( Black and Galaxy style color variants ) So, I'm not suprised with what you are saying!

If you don't care for 3D effect, just wait for New 2ds xl, you get the * best 3ds ever made for 149$ with a charger! Unless, you're a collector!

I checked out the Halo release week, and the first few months after launch.  It didn't outsell the PS4 any of those weeks, so I doubt it did at any point.  

To be fair though, we never had a 2 month old XBone against a 4.5 year old PS4.

I already have a 3DS... Actually I have 3 of them.  Not a collector, but I just wanted the upgraded ones.   I just like the Galaxy design.

Better idea; get a Switch. Vastly superior system with a long and bountiful life ahead of it.

True.  I probably didn't phrase that right.  I think the fact that the Switch is new is the more relevant part of the equation.  If the XBone came out this March (assuming it evolved with the technology market) I'm pretty sure it would have outsold PS4 at least a week or two.
