you can get fired from your job, or at least your collegue workers won't talk to you again
on streets you can be beaten by strangers if you wear something that shows your homosexuality. Thank God i work for a russian gaming site where there are a lot of homosexuals in the editorial staff (ACE, XTR) so i can feel pretty confortable.
