26 and I don't drink and never have (I've tasted it lot's of times but I've never had a full glass or more than a sip). I think I'm the only one of my friends though lol

I do, I like higher end beers and liquor at parties and bars (I don't get hammered or blackout on the regular, sometimes I make that mistake) . I see no point in drinking with a meal or casually personally, I would prefer water in those scenarios.

That feeling when you realize this forum is full of children :/

I haven't heard of anyone who doesn't, adults at least, maybe in countries where it is banned, like Saudi Arabia.

Alcohol is very healthy for you. It lowers stress, improves sex, and is great for creativity. It has been scientifically proven that a bit of alcohol each day is good for your cardiovascular system and mental health, it increases your IQ. Plus it makes for great social situations, as it melts people's uptight inhibitions away.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Ok, I'm on White Russian #4. Taking it a little easy tonight. Judging by the responses here.....ah, doesn't look like anyone else is partying tonight. Oh well, guess I'll just drink alone.

I do but only for the taste and not to get drunk.

I like a lot of different alcoholic beverages. My favourites are

port, sherry, "normal" wine, scotch and beer (especially top-fermented beer)

Rarely nowadays, and only one drink for the taste as I don't like feeling anything close to a hangover the next day or after a few hours already. Those days are long gone.

I used to drink a lot with friends in my twenties. We used to finish a couple bottles of wine between us while watching a movie, or go out in the weekend to get wasted. I don't understand how you can get physically addicted to alcohol though. It seems I've tried enough but outside social drinking, getting drunk by myself has never been appealing in the slightest. I much rather got stoned and played video games instead.

Nowadays my 'vices' are coffee and peanut butter chocolate chip frozen yogurt. And lots of tea.

I think most who get addicted to it are those who drink to "forget" their problems and stuff like that. The brain seems to love this effect to let you get addicted to it.

I sure do! :P

No, and I probably never will. Never had any interest in drinking alcohol, and I don't like the smell of beer (or most alcoholic beverages in general), so it's likely that I'd hate the taste as well =P

But maybe you are just young?

I just turned 18 last year so yeah, I'm still rather young. But 18 is the legal age to drink here in Brazil, so I could be drinking already if I really wanted to. I have friends that drink and they have tried numerous times to convince me, but it's just not my kind of thing. I'm really not missing out much by not drinking, so I'm just going to stay like this honestly.

Another thing I should note is that whenever I do drink, it's in Mexico, (the border is a little less than half an hour from my house) where the legal drinking age is 18 as opposed to 21 in the States.
