Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo: Fire Emblem Switch is “going to be looking beautiful with great graphics”

Nintendo announced a new Fire Emblem game for Switch a few months ago. We’ve yet to see a single image from the game, but it’ll apparently be worth the wait. Nintendo’s Kenta Nakanishi told USgamer in a new interview that “it’s going to be looking beautiful with great graphics”.

That’s not the only thing Nakanishi recently said about the project. This past weekend, we reported him noting that Switch “should be able to offer a completely different Fire Emblem, breathing life into our characters like never before.”

I would hope so, Switch is light years ahead of the 3DS.

I hope so. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the nature of Fire Emblem is such that it should be a tech showpiece on every platform it is on graphically. There's no excuse for the super basic look of FE on 3DS.

I sure hope so. Seeing as how the Switch is a high definition hybrid system, I have very big expectations for it!

3ds had great games, but held back on many games. Make Nintendo great again!

New Fire Emblem for Switch is good news.

Switch needs to get all the 3DS mainstays or else it won't be seen as a successor to both the Wii U and the 3DS. It needs Pokemon, Monster Hunter, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, a Square Enix game, and an Atlus title.

So far it has four of those with Monster Hunter XX, Fire Emblem Switch, Dragon Quest XI, and SMT Switch.

FE switch is the first mainline FE games in HD so it have to look good obviously. Let's hope that Nintendo at least show the teaser during E3.

A handheld gamer only (for now).

A 2018 release is to long. Fire Emblem is not a demanding game so it should have great graphics.

That's good to hear. Makes it harder to wait for the game though.
