"Nintendo has told suppliers and assemblers it hopes to make nearly 20 million units of the Switch device in the year ending in March 2018"

Interesting that the number keeps going up. They initially said 16 million, then 18 million just a few days ago. I wonder what number they'll be able to hit.

So Nintendo still grow the productions, maybe pokemon stars this year? i think its logical

Bbbbut da Nintendo is purposely keeping stock low!

Loll

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Godamnit, Apple!

I hope this doesn't mean poor build quality for Switch devices...

Even the most optmistic sales forcast would represent less than 2% of WW smartphone and tablet sales.

It is also weird that we all know the Switch doesn´t have any bleading edge component or custom chip. So, why would they need to fight with Apple that builds their own chips?

This seems to be another PR stunt for Nintendo trying to keep the focus on the device, since, it preaty clear there is no rush or fever in the general public for the console.

Lawlight, is that you?

I imagine the reality is just incredibly boring, but it's still nice to imagine Kimishima/Miyamoto tag teaming the Apple CEO with the parts going to the winner

Ok now you're just trying to make it sound dirty

I just hope they get enough parts to meet demand

We need to rise up against Apple.

Hmm, on a serious note on what I think, I feel bad for the poor exploited workers who are put in the middle of competition like this.

...But, on a more site-appropriate note, I guess I should be angry at Apple for not being able to find a Switch

Why would you feel bad for the workers?  This is the kind of situation that drives up wages.

Yep, I heard this rumor too.

Its one of the reasons Im doubtfull Nintendo will be able to double production and maybe reach 18m units this 1st year. Apple will elbow them out, and outbid them for parts for the new iphone.
