You don't back a dead horse. They aren't going to inflate their Catwoman's, or Electra's scores. Amy Schumer has nothing to do with this. There are a ton of female led movies. The point of this is its genre.
Think of it in terms of video game movies. How long have we hoped for a good video game movie adaptation?
As soon as one hits that mark, can you not fathom that it might get higher than it should scores because many reviewers intentional or not may inflate their score due to the "finally" aspect, or to give a good score to say to holleywood "see video games can be good movies" ect.
Same philosophy can be thought of for this female lead movie. Is it the first superhero female led movie? No. But it appears to be the first good one. Thus it's a good rallying cause to jump on to try and promote more of them.
