When I made this in mid 2014 I was actually thinking that 8th generation might do worse than 5th generation however I thought to myself that something will happen to blow up that prediction. Doesnt Switch also belong to the 8th generation of consoles on the market? (a generation as a whole, multiple vendors box's = a gen)

Its not more advanced in technologies, its not faster than the others on the market, and its directly competeing against PS4/XB1 and will be for most of its life.

If you count PS4+XB1+WiiU+Switch, its bound to be as big as 5th gen right?

Abit optimistic but could see 8th gen ending with like:

PS4 ~130m

XB1 ~60m

Switch ~80m (& WiiU ~14m)

I predicted the doom of Valyria, Mymeara, Chelchis, the WiiU, the XboxOne and Nintendo. So far I've been right about everything except the last one, but its just a matter of time. Give like... 3 o 4 more years.
