Considering the PS4 beat the XBO by ~100K in the US for April, I highly doubt they are that close for NA. I also doubt the Switch did that much better outside the US in NA.

If Amazon is any indication, PS4 is beating switch the last few days. It may stay that way until something new comes out for Switch like Splatoon 2. Until Scorpio at least, it will be a battle between PS4 and Switch. |
Amazon cant be indication because cheapest Switch on Amazon is currently $390 ($90 above regular price), that basically means there are still stock issues.

Nintendo really seem to have a winner on their hands if the coming months go good until the 3rd party and shovelware start to pour onto it to fill the gap, the first party just needs to last long enough basically til the others can get their ports in order for it. |
Where are you in Europe?

congrats to Nintendo for only having one thing worth playing at launch vs. PS4's diversified lineup |
If BOTW was on PS4, it would kill everything else in attach rate as well.
Hard time believing that 50% of new switch owners bought their first game digital. SW seems way undertracked..
Predictions for LT console sales:
PS4: 120M
XB1: 70M
WiiU: 14M
3DS: 60M
Vita: 13M

Nah, GTA would just laugh and that would be that |
Yeah nothing on Playstation kills anything with attach ratio. Gta as you say is the closest. on ps3 it was probably around 25% attach ratio.
The thing is with Playstation, it's software sales are spread out over a massive array of titles. A huge and varied taste in it's install base. One single title is never going to have a crazy attach ratio no matter how good it is.

Famitsu? Isn't MC usually considered to be the more accurate though? |
Yeah, I believe Nintendo themselves use Media Create numbers for sell-through. Regardless, I'm pretty sure VGC just takes MC + Famitsu and takes the average.
Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Bollocks. PS4's launch line-up wasn't very good, a game like BOTW would have dominated.
People really do overestimate the PS4's first four months or so in terms of library.

I'm talking overall Playstation software sales to this very day not just launch window.
BTW did ps4 sell more software in its first few months then the Switch?
Wtf the Switch sold 60k in Canada + Mexico :O

So, Fire Emblem Echoes seems to have sold decently. I hope that it was enough for them to justify future remakes!
