Rockstar did say that RDR2 will come out FY2018, so I'm not surprised.

hmm, The Last of Us 2 could well be 2018. Plus Halo 6 has got to be coming in the near future, if that's back to form then that would be a contender too. |
They said the game was in super early development just seconds before it was annouced and that was 6 months at best its a 2019 title.

Hadn't thought of that, Zelda and Horizon just lost a major competitor for GotY. Still a couple more to wait and see, though. |
Have a feeling its more likely gonna be Zelda vs Persona then Zelda vs Horizon since Persona got overall better reviews then Horizon plus there is Mario Odyseey which has a very good chance of being another BOTW in terms of reviews.

.....If they do reveal a Switch port when they give a new release date will that cause a Nintendo hate spike? I feel it would, based on the Rayman Legends reactions and something I saw on a Touhou thread here that got delayed for a Switch version.
The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
Dood, that's awfully bummer.....
Oh well, Super Mario Odyseey & Shenmue 3(sign of delay) will make me happy.
Im sad... this was the only AAA western game i was hyped for this year, and it was gonna be a great way to end it after so much (great) japanese games.

It's very pretty but I hope the game-play has evolved to match. RDR game-play was mediocre at best.

It's hard to think of situations that contained so many types of conflict on such a large scale. Rapid expansion of that magnitude creates so much friction that it's almost impossible to control. I guess that's what is so romantic about it that it keeps getting revisited in media so often. Even inside that, there are so many themes you can follow, such as law vs anarchy or progress vs tradition.
It's like a fantasy world in terms of fictional potential for strife.
Edit: Thinking about it, I guess it's kind of like the Warring States periods from both China and Japan, which are revisited so often in fiction. Though the situations are obviously very different, they all provide similar possibilities for the imagination.

Expected a delay, so I am not surprised. Screenshots look fantastic, I really hope that we will finally see some gameplay at E3!
