Its the best because of sales, if it was at GC levels you wouldnt say its the best. (Not trying to troll but its the truth).

My personal opinion after playing SMG for more than half an hour with the wii mote, is that its not the best, nor the 3rd or 2nd best nintendo home console.

no i dont think it could pass up the n64 or SNES. really because the wii isn't putting out any ip just continuing what was started on snes

I agree with both points but the N64 one specifically. It may have had the smallest game library of a Nintendo system but as far as the percetage of quality software goes its untouchable.

Wow Leo-j, judging a game after only half an hour? The learning curve is a tiny bit longer for people who don't like the Wii leo-j.

As for the best console, it is too early to judge.

Sales wise, it most likely will be seen as the best (DS will have something to say about that though). However, for gamers, I think the only thing that should matter is games......which it lacks compared to those other systems mentioned (however, this should change within the next year or so). So, at this point, I'd have to agree with naz.....the ds is nintendo's greatest system, not only in hardware sales, but in the quality and diversity of software.

I personally feel it is the second worst Nintendo console, with VB being the worst. I can't stand what Nintendo has done to their home console, i also feel that the wii-mote is going backwards and offers nothing to gaming. But for sales it is a success.

Not IMO,that title is reserved for the SNES (not only Nintendo´s greatest console,but THE greatest console ever....again,IMO.)

Heh, this is very reminiscent of the N64 and PSX. I had a friend who only owned a PSX. I owned it, the N64, and the Saturn. No matter how much I told him how great joysticks were he said they were a useless feature. Called them a step back from the D-Pad. Said they were less responsive and slow.

I think DS is first and Wii second.
