Forums - Sales - Your Predictions For March NPD?

It's a little hard to give numbers so I'll do one of these.

DS > Wii > PS2 > PS3 > 360 > PSP

Makes me wonder, why is America still buying the PS2 en masse while the other regions have started moving on.

When do NPD release their sales data for the month of March?

April 17th

I think the true question will be about smash... it will be interesting to see how similiar the two numbers are. I actually have a hunch NDP may be a tad bit higher, but not enough for ioi to make an adjustment(he most likely will wait until Fiscals for any adjustments)

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

if only we could know if there are supply issue or not on the Xbox360...

I would say no. First the supply issues will last until March... it has come and gone and then they hit us with saying that by April the "supply issues" would be taken care of.

Yet PS3 still outsells it.

It is not an issue of supply constraints, it is an issue of not enough demand. Sales prove that. It recieved a price cut in EU and still gets outsold.

You don't lower price to shift more consoles while at the same time claiming you don't have enough consoles to move... uhhh... yeah they lost me between all their bullshit.

Either that or MS made a HUGE mistake with the Arcade, I rarely see those things move. Although by the same token, they can't use this excuse for a 4th month now. 3rd year into it's life and now when sales are lower than the competitors they scream supply issues.

I would say No to the supply issue to be honest.

there isn't at least not anymore

i can go into any random store (i live in America) and can find at least 10-20 360s lying around

Interesting, most people expect PS3 to beat out 360 again???

And that is... completely different from what VGC predicted?

If I remember correctly, when I defended my prediction of PS3 outselling 360 a few weeks back, I don't remember many of you coming to my defense. :P

Soriku (Feb 10/08): In 5 years the PS3/360 will be dead.
