As much as I would love old IPs coming back (I would even by a sega console, even one that sucks), I think the problem is not the IP but rather the quality of games. Today they are only doing "C" games, they need to catch up and do some A games.

heres the top 10 from last years survey

1. Sakura Wars (2457)  (girls & mechs, its unique too)
2. Jet Set Radio (1485)
3. Virtual On (729) (but why?)
4. Shenmue (727)
5. Virtua Fighter (581) (but why?)
6. Panzer Dragoon (538)
7. Shining Force (518)
8. Skies of Arcadia (483) (please... please give this a big budget and grow the IP, turn it into a series) (keep it oldschool)
9. Streets of Rage (437)
10. NiGHTS into dreams… (261)

Good starting point

EDIT - Minus Sakura Wars

Not a bad list.

Where is Super Monkey Ball on it though?

Bring them all back, especially the first Alex kidd. Make them for multiple platforms too.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

I would just die. Most exciting news all year

This, but add Altered Beast, Ranger X, and Vectorman.

Phantasy Star Online V, like Destiny but with animu characters!

Rather than staying in the past, how about Sega launch new IPs with the same originality and fun of those old IPs, and they don't have to be the biggest AAAA games either.

Games like Splatoon and ARMS are the type of games the old Sega would make everyday.

Streets of Rage and Shinobi please!!
