 The Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It is taking place in the International Exhibition Centre in Kiev, Ukraine, following Ukraine's victory at the 2016 contest in Stockholm with the song "1944", written and performed by Jamala.
Forty-two countries are participating in the contest. Portugal and Romania return to the contest after a year's absence, while Bosnia and Herzegovina have withdrawn on financial grounds. Russia had originally planned to participate, but announced their withdrawal on 13 April 2017.

Gotta root for my country once in a while, Italy has a good chance to win this year with Occidentali's Karma, I mean, what can top a dancing monkey ?

I started watching ESC in 2012 and last year was the first time I missed it. If Semi 1 is anything to go by though I'm not even showing up for the final. There was like 3 songs tops that I would even want to here once more, none that I'd put on my playlist.
What happened to all the good songs this year?? -_-

Dont really care who wins.

I dont understand how Greece's / Cyprus's / Armenia's / Poland's song made it over this one (finland's).

Ngh, I hate it these days. Well, I don't really have anything against it, but it's really annoying because it fills up my whole Twitter feed. Why do people feel the urge to tweet about every single thing that happens during it...

It also turned a bit too pandering for my tastes.

I have predicted every Eurovision winner for the last 6 year and I really thought Italy would be the winner of this edition since the moment Francesco Gabbani won San Remo, I really love Occidentali's Karma however lately I started to have my doubts about its potential victory and finally yesterday on the semifinal everything felt clear as water:

Portugal is the winner of Eurovision 2017 with the best entry the country has ever sent to the contest. Salvador and his song Amar Pelos Dois are simply amazing and the performance creates a truly wonderful moment that will enchant Europe.

Belgium will probably be the most succesful on international charts though, City Lights is perfect and probably the most modern song ever on the ESC but the live performance is not as strong.

Have you seen the guy from Montenegro? Epic braid, he was really proud of it to lol.

Seriously, the Portugese song has a good chance I'd say, maybe a bit, I don't want to say boring, but you know. He has an amazing voice though and it really stands out from the rest in a good way. I think the Dutch song will make it to the final tomorrow, but won't win.

Ehhh... the only Eurovision song I've ever even listened too is Waterloo. Still, good luck to all the countries!

looks like we have good chances for 0 points/last place again - the german song isn't awful to my ears, but it's very bland (that said I thought the same of "Satellite")
