3DS was down month over month in Feb according to VGC, from 359k in Jan to 271k in Feb.

Also this Feb and March were the lowest Feb/March for 3DS since its launch.

http://www.vgchartz.com/tools/hw_yoy.php?reg=Global&start_year=2011&end_year=2017&console=3DS

I omitted to cite  that I'm talking about the USA...http://nintendoeverything.com/february-2017-npd-3ds-unit-sales-up-77-percent-from-last-month/

Vgc missed that, because they didn't know at all about the release of Pikachu New 3ds xl release there,  they haven't fixed the number for the last week of february yet...

Also this feb and March were the lowest... BLAH BLAH! Of course they are, what would you expect from something that sold out on holidays in the west and has supply issues since then ( at least till mid april for the USA ! )

I have exhausted that topic,  you're tiring me!

Look how yoy up was in holidays, it would suddenly be so yoy down if it it had sufficient stock? No...

It was up YOY in November when Sun/Moon came out, but December 2016 was down YOY,  from 1.85m to 1.73m.

Curiously, those sell-through graphs you provided stop at Q3. Had they continued into Q4 the results would be less positive. VGChartz has 3DS down 203k YOY for the first three months of 2017.

The real question is will you like your PS4 any more if it does? Or your 3DS any less?

Doesn't necessarily mean it would be up YOY with more stock though. Those articles all seem to be from Dec-Feb, but 3DS was down YOY in March too.

Neither so yoy down though ( And I didn't say such a thing, anywise it  would be impossible,  last year in february  it was pokemon anniversary and the second wave of New 3ds temporal shipments after september with Animal crossing in the USA, this time Pokemon Red/Blue themed and March had Fire emblem Fates  )

If you had browsed on Gamestop/Bestbuy/Walmart/Amazon eshops in march, you would see that 3DS still had stock issues, I was checking often because of looking forward to when 3DS stocking would be again normal.

As I aforesaid, I  noticed  a change in mid April on Gamestop/Bestbuy, where galaxy style/black new 3ds xl/MK7 2DS  are no longer sold out or under the prompt ''check in stores''... Amazon/Walmart still selling from third parties at inflated prices as expected!

Anyway, we're not on GBA vs 3DS thread! :)

I will reply to topic's question later!

P.s Don't eat too much vegemite! :P

I was gonna say, unless I missed it I don't think you've actually weighed in on the actual topic question yet.

Exactly, that's why the bolded!

You just goaded me to continue a discussion that we previously had on the gba vs 3ds thread! :)

For the record it wasn't my intention to goad or antagonize.

So far 44 people have voted that 3DS will remain ahead, but unless I missed it, I have yet to see any of them actually make a post explaining why.
