If a limited time demo could so THAT for the Switch, I can only imagine what the actual game launch will be like.

Switch is winning globally in the US!

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

you have been on this site for far too long to be making rookie mistakes like this.

2.74 million SHIPPED, sales of 2.4-2.5 million would give it about 90% sell through.

They said sold and not shipped, so I dont know what to tell you...

well I know what to tell you, you're wrong.

For Splatoon 2? Switch will probably pull 500k worldwide when it launches.

well to be fair Switch is simply selling whatever is shipped so the increase isnt necessarily because of the demo, rather they shipped more to coincide with the demo.

He's not wrong, Nintendo said sold, not shipped. And even if it was shipped it wouldn't make a different since it sells out really fast.

Btw, I just noticed in Europe last week Switch was up from the previous one, and this week it's also up from the last one. So yeah... it's supply constrained indeed, otherwise sales would just go down and down.

Yeah, I was wrong. It was 2.74M sold and not 2.7M. My bad.

I was stared at the charts for a couple minutes before realising that it was Switch that was in first place. lol

to both of you, quarterly fiscal results for Nintendo are always shipped, this is not debatable.

And yes i know it has supply constraints but you will never get 100% sell through. 2.4-2.5 million would be right around 90% sell through which is extremely high.

So if its not sold, then why do people think its so weird that Nintendo SHIPPED more Zelda games than Switch systems then? I mean thats pretty normal to ship more games than systems.
