Yeah, those 60 reviews came out of nowhere, all of the early reviews were 80+. That being said, the complaints in some of those low reviews are kind of dumb. Giving a game a 60 just because it doesn't do anything new within the genre is silly imo. 

Well, I guess there's still a lot of scores that have yet to be released/processed, so I'll wait and see what the final score will be. This was never going to be a game that I was going to get at full price, but I'm always interested in seeing how a game scores.

72 | Segment Next | Prey is not a bad game but it is also not a special game that is worth spending $60 on day one. It is one of those games that you pick up on a sale a few months down the line. There is nothing new or unique about Prey, nothing that will push a non-believer toward Arkane.

Speaks to me on a spiritual level. Adding to my wishlist.

Suppose this was one of those misleading cases from small number statistics. The average may very well be much lower than the initial scores hinted towards.

Reviews seem fine to be. After 45m the game looses steam. I'm a fan of Bioshock and the like, but this was just too mundane.

Windows Central's first line is that the game isn't pretty.... then gives it a perfect 100%

Fair enough so.

Sounds like GOTY on X1.

I think its evident Metacritic needs to somehow consolidate multiple platforms. Especially when X1 and PS4 ports are often very much the same.

What the heck... why are Xbox One games getting inflated scores again?

Shouldnt the same game score the same on both? esp if the PS4 version maybe runs better?

A xbox's 90 is a PS4's 80.
