Forums - Nintendo - For Switch demos, just search "demo" in the eShop

The eShop is pretty bare bones, like the online service, but serviceable. There are titles that are dropping off the main page and can only be found via search. A neat little tip came up at reddit in which a simple search for demo will show titles that offer trial software (Snipperclips, Just Dance, PuyoPuyo Tetris, and Blaster Master Zero).

A comment mentions this can also be done in the "JP eShop too if you search for "taiken" (体験). Click the search bar to bring up the keyboard, choose the 日本語 keyboard, type in "taiken" and choose the first auto fill option to input the kanji. (To save you the time, Snipperclips, Spelunker, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Dragon Quest Heroes I & II.)"

Nintendo might add a section that does this later on, just like they did with the best sellers,
but in the meantime use it to your heart's content.

Is that it? Recent releases, coming soon and enter code?

Wow, and I get annoyed at how hard it is to find specific things on PSN sometimes

Like I mention in the OP they added a Best Sellers section after launch: http://nintendotoday.com/best-sellers-eshop-update/

Nothing espectacular, but a small update

I think the shop will evolve over time. There really wasn't a whole lot at launch so I don't think Nintendo was too concerned with spending their time and resources there. Who knows, maybe they will overhaul and relaunch the e-shop in the future like Microsoft does. For now this very simple layout will do and it works wondrous. Everything is right there for you :P

Is there a time or played limit on them?

I think an eshop redesign will come later on the year, possibly with the first big update.

Which are you getting?

I tried to download the temporarily free DLC for Blaster Master Zero without owning the game and it worked. That's good to know. Everyone should remember this, because it means you can get free DLC for any game you have a remote interest in long before you actually purchase the game in question.

WTF! Even without the demo? That's a big loophole to have.

What's taking you so long? Should have been owned BMZ by now.
