Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is off to a fantastic start in the UK. With the latest UK charts beginning to surface, this marks the first time that a Nintendo boxed game has reached the top spot since 2011. Pokemon White on DS was the last title to accoplish the feat. Additionally, it’s the first Mario game at the top spot since Mario Kart Wii.

GamesIndustry also reports that “Nintendo used the launch of its racer to ship more Switch stock to retailers, which has seen The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild return to the Top Five (at No.5) with a 68% increase in sales week-on-week.” Puyo Puyo Tetris debuted at the 18th spot, “with the majority of sales coming on Nintendo Switch.”

B ... bu ... but every Argos in the UK has 300 unsold Switches. VGChartz boards told me. ;).

I buy more Nintendo product than likely anyone on this board, but I haven't liked their business decisions of late and I'm honest in stating that. I am pro-Nintendo generally. 

And yes, sure. MS should consider putting some games on Switch. I wouldn't mind a Rare Replay or Halo 1/2/3 ports.

That game's sales are ridiculous... and to think they make more money from the microtransactions of online play lol, Rockstar must have Scrooge McDuck vaults of gold somewhere.

I bought for ps3, ps4 and pc and I dont like the game so much, actually I dont know why I bought so many times haha

There's a lot of double-dippers in GTAV's total. Skews that total audience.

Nope, not on the combined charts because they were counted as separate SKU's... and released at a much more competitive time of year.
