Forums - Nintendo - Are there actually new Switches coming in?

Can you not just pay for one in a store and have it put away for you when it becomes available?

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

It´s selling very well. That means Nintendo will discontinue it. That´s their new thing

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I saw a ton of Switches at Target when I went to buy Mario Kart. When I went there the following day they were all gone. They are still coming in but people are quick to snatch them up.

I saw two in a sotre here in Brazil. Thay also had one WiiU, 3 PS4s and one XboxOne.

Nah, Nintendo decided to discontinue the Switch after seeing how successful it is. Like the NES Classic!

Actually, they decided that bc they realized how beneficial is for the company to go full 3rd Party. A win-win situation!

Are they really going third party, on PS4 and XOne? Well, that's bad news. :'(

I wanted them to go full mobile.

There are like 600 Switch consoles being sold on Amazon right now.

Scalpers are probably camping websites, making it almost impossible for ordinary people to find one that way.

Scalpers are terrorizing my personal life and ripping my family apart.

It's still damn difficult to get them in NA.

I blame asshats like this one:

If there's one way to get me to hate you without even seeing you or knowing your name, it's to boast of your scalping by doing the popular "Pyramid of Douchery" on eBay lol

Don't you merry cans have that thing where you order one and then they just ship it to you when they get stock in? Much easier than clicking refresh over and over again on the website hoping you'll be lucky/quick enough to get one when it briefly changes to "in stock"

Not with hot-ticket items that sell out as fast as the Switch is selling, apparently. Basically, anytime an item is labelled "Quantity limited; no rain checks".

I'm fine though with waiting a few more months like I said; I was just curious if Nintendo was replenishing the stock, and based on the reponses I've gotten, it seems they are.

My understanding is that prolonged exposure to scalpers can lead to gynecomastia, as well.  Look out for that.

There must have been a decent shipment that went out on 29 April as I received an e-mail of notification of stock from TRU ("come in early, limited supply").

I didn't go looking for a Switch, but the Target I stopped at in the morning for non-gaming sundries had two of them, which were the first two I've seen on shelves.

A cursory check on Ebay showed thousands of Switch auctions, indicating a recent surge of supply that may or may not have coincided with that 29 April delivery.

Clearly, Nintendo is trying to get as many to market as possible as record sales rather than sold out stock/unavailability have been the news story and investor data of note. They underestimated demand, hence the statement they would be doubling production, but as was the case with the Wii, no one has a "print more consoles button" at the factories and it does take time for the increase in production orders to catch up to production and ultimately demand.

Lol love how the US has these constant stock issues while us Aussies have had them in stock since day 1
