The console that sells the best is rarely the one with the best games. The sells mean nothing to me.

Its the BMW vs. Mercedes / Manchester vs. Chelsea for geeks. In the end I don't care who "wins" other that I would like to see all good games available for the PS3. but I must confess that I would like to see the Wii completely combust just to see the reactions of the Wiifans which are the "New York Yankees-fans" of this generation

Lol, well I never said gaming wasn't part of technology. Perhaps I phrased it wrong.

I am a Web Designer for a couple of domains related to anesthesiology. I generate graphics and other content for their sites. Right now I'm working on a new site careting to med students just about to graduate from med school. Its a fun job, but part of the time is devoted to doing general research to gather information from the web relating to current events in the medical community. Though I'm trying to find a second job. I dont mind sitting at home all day, and the pay is good but I do most of my work at night anyway and Im starting to get cabin fever...

To give an example from real life.

In Norway, Tine Melk (milk) has always had monopoly for milk in Norway. Now Q Melk (Cow milk) have taken a small % of the share. I prefer the taste of Q Melk, and encourage others to buy it. I also want it to outsell Tine Melk, because I prefer it.

No, it isn't because I wanted to justify that I bought 10 liters of Q Melk.

i care cause many people said that the ps3 was going to sell like crazy and that the wii was going to flop, but its the other way around and i like to rub it in people faces lol

I just find the industry interesting.  I don't really care, as long as the ones I invest in get supported. But I don't really feel that strongly about it. For example, I love my 360 but I otherwise pretty much despise Microsoft - a total Apple geek here who hates the virtual monopoly that leads to crap being put out there.  So I'm not exactly cheering for the corporation.  Similarly I love my Sony TV and other stuff, but I don't really care whether they do well in the console market, so long as I get some good games to play on my PS3, which it looks like we will.

Because following the ups and down of the Gaming Industry is interesting.

Period. 

I come to watch the fanboys square off in a never ending debate of hilariousness. I really dont care anymore who is in the lead or not because as this generations has shown, it really doesnt matter in terms of the winning console getting the majority of exclusives.

I also often go to gamefaqs forums and laugh at the fanboys.
