Sponsers are leaving. The company is losing a ton of money. The company wants those Sponsers back. The Company is cutting him.

Unless you think a company should be forced to hemorrhage money.

The funny thing is, I bet even if those sponsors come back, Fox isn't going to be able to get as much money from them when the ratings drop.  It's the same thing the left tried to do to Rush a few years back and sponsors decided to drop him. He stuck it out, got new sponsors, while the ones who left him saw their sales drop.  Some tried to come back but he refused.  Same thing happened to Glenn Beck, too. Of course, most of the people saying they were dropping their sponsorships then were never even sponsors to begin with. Bet the same is true here, as well.

Advertisers lost sales for dropping Glenn Beck?  Seriously?  I'd love to read the source for that.

True, but that doesnt stop comedians from being targeted. Everything is offensive these days. Dave Chappelle was recently accused of being homophobic and sexist and whatever other words are being thrown around. I just believe in innocent until proven guilty. If Trump is proven to be guilty by a court of law, then Ill shut my mouth.

Now we're talking about Trump?  Which charge? The Russia thing I admit is still ongoing so I won't go into it.  His business though is undeniably impeachable.  Republicans just don't want to lose their seats for impeaching him for it.  They're waiting until either he loses enough support or democrats take over congress so they can do it.

And yes, comedians do get their feet held to the fire every now and then.  I did say that they walked a very fine line and even the top comedians trip over that line occasionally.

Im talking to several people at once, so maybe I got confused, but Trump is the one I think made a joke. So thats where comedians came into the picture. O'Reilly is proven guilty, so fuck him.

For those of you thinking this is okay because you hear worse on a daily basis... That means you have friends with some pretty awful humor and if they were ever let anywhere near a microphone with those jokes, they'd be in a similar situation to O'Reilly.

Woman find those jokes distasteful and hard to listen to... They don't like it.

This sort of crap isn't uncommon. Especially in the deep south states... The difference between Kansas and California is like night and day. In Topeka Kansas, it is legal to beat your wife.

Are abortion jokes ok? Those are my specialty.

I think it was lockerroom talk. He was bragging to another guy. I think it was mostly a joke. I highly doubt Trump has ever had problems with getting women.

Then it sounds like you agree that "not waiting for signs of aproval" in combination with the false claim that women in general will let you do that, is disturbing? But passing it off as a joke?

One could run into a dozen women that will be ok with it. But it only takes one who isn't, and that's why we have laws against sexual assault.

As for if he was joking, I've never heard anyone joke about forcing themselves on women, just because they all luckily happened to be ok with it. I hear guys bragging about women grinding up against them on the dancefloor, flirting with them at the bar, inviting them over at night, etc. Never heard "I grope women out of the blue because they all luckily happend to be ok with it because I'm rich." That's kind of an asshole version of the former.
It's like implying that "the few" who don't appreciate it will be taken care of by your army of lawyers and money.

Forget it.  People who have made up their mind that its locker talk I would love to know if they ever said anything close like that to a total stranger.  Its not like Trump was talking to his best buddy but instead to someone he doesn't even know and a reporter.  Think about the mentality you have to have to just say something like that to someone you do not know.  On top of that he is bragging.  When people brag about something of that nature they feel no shame, remorse or even care about the other party.  They are happy with their power to do what they want and want someone to know about it.

Sure.. when you aren't wearing A MICROPHONE.

People didn't sneak up and hide an iphone in his pocket. Despite all his wild claims people didn't bug his office. He made that statement while wearing a damn Microphone.

That is like someone yelling it out at a baseball game.

So? They werent on air, so he probably thought they werent recording. Not really like yelling it to a bunch of people now is it?

So what you are saying is that he was stupid.  He still had the mike on but never asked if he was still being recorded.  Then he does something even more stupid by saying that dumb comment without first asking if he is still on mike or saying this is off the record or anything.  Basically you are apologizing for him because he said something stupid and got caught.  This is why people like him can do exactly what he says and get away with it because there is always someone out there ready for the apology, excuse, look the other way, indifferent.  Forget about the lawsuits that were in play before that comment came out.  Even if its your friends, you are still judge by such comments unless it's known by all its a joke.  He never stated, I am joking or in fun or anything to let you think it was a joke.  Instead his comment to a complete stranger, who is a reporter out of no where bragging about what he can do with his celebrity status was exactly what it was.  Bragging about something he has done.

If you think people like me who are skeptic are the reason for him to get the benefit of the doubt, then feel free to think so. What is really hurting women in this case is other women who do throw around false accusations about harrassment and even rape. Not saying these women did, but sadly that does happen.

I also dont understand that he cant possibly tell this as a joke to a stranger, but admitting it to a total stranger is perfectly normal?

Just in time for a new cabinet position.

Corporations like Coca-Cola have billions of dollars and in some cases billions of consumers to think about. Bill O' Reilly and his rinky dink little cable TV show that reaches a few million people in Hicktown USA (he averages 2.8 million viewers) is not worth tarnishing your brand over. There are a million other ways to advertise your product and plenty of other highly rated TV programs.

To be honest in the grand scheme of things, his ratings are not that impressive. A show like Supergirl which was lambasted for low ratings had about 2.2 million viewers on most nights, a hit TV show like "The Walking Dead" gets over 11 million just from the 18-49 demo alone.

It is for a freaking cable news show.  Did Coca-Cola even advertise on his show to begin with?  Can't recall ever seeing a Coke ad while watching his show.

Two seperate stories there.  The ones who dropped Rush lost business.  The ones who "dropped" Glenn weren't even advertising with him to begin with, so it didn't really affect them or him.
