Therapy has helped me a lot.
If you're in college, look to see if they have a counselor you cna talk to. For the most part it should be free.

Spend time enjoying things. After doing the exam which you obviously aced, feel the enjoyment of your results. Then do things you enjoy. Also give your crush or the hottest girl you know a big ole smile for no reason. No repercussions, and even if there were who cares?

I spent half a day recently alone, naked, with some chips and drink, just playing video games (Persona 5). Was a great time to unwind after all the papers I had to write, and other schoolwork.

When I realized how useless being depressed was, I took steps to cut it out of my life. Don't have time to be depressed all the time, just gotta live.

Open your arms and legs wide, smile, nod your head and say 'Fuck yeah!' a few times for some reason.

It's part thinking positive/faking it til you make it.

Exercise was my big crux. Went from a lifetime of competitive sports to going cold turkey my senior year. That year was one of the best of my life. The next I was completely sapped of energy and spiraled into a moderate clinical depression which nearly ended in suicide. With a bit of counseling and new fitness regimen I was back in good shape again.

A very simple trick: 2 apples a day and running at least 2 miles every day.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

So, an apple a day keeps the doctor away, while 2 a day keeps depression away?

I've gotten therapy numerous times in the past, but the problem is that I start to feel better, so then I leave, but then old habits start coming back.
