You haven't read my post properly. Every example you give are for games where deals were struck before release anywhere in the world. Unless I'm getting Rockband wrong it's finished, its out in US and MS is apparently thinking of delaying its European launch through money incentives.
Think about it, do we really want to see games get launches affected at the last minute in this way? Does this really serve us the consumers? At least an exclusive has the angle of making sure the game really exploits the platform, or a prearranged timed exclusive does the same for a period of time (UT3) - but this can do nothing of the kind.
As I said this isn't because its MS - I'd feel the same way if Sony did the same for a multi-platform game already released somewhere - for example if they'd paid to delay US/Europe launch of DMC4.
I just don't think its anything but a bad precedence.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
